Mooresville Christmas Parade

The official kickoff to holiday celebrations in Mooresville, the Christmas Parade is celebrating its 75th year! Held the Tuesday before Thanksgiving every year, this much anticipated event draws thousands to Main Street in downtown Mooresville. The parade starts at 3pm, but get there early to get a good spot along the parade route.

Downtown Mooresville Holiday Light Spectacular

Stick around after the parade to enjoy the Holiday Light Spectacular, an orchestrated light show with 115,000+ lights set to music. The show takes place on the lawn at Town Hall, 413 N. Main Street, every evening beginning at 5:30. It’s fun for the kids (and adults!) and is a perfect way to start a night downtown.

Zootastic Park’s Christmas Wonderland of Lights

Opens Nightly at 6pm; November 27 – January 4

Drive through a wildlife safari amid a spectacular display of lights at Zootastic Park. With nearly 4 million lights, a S’mores pit, pony rides, petting zoo, Tiger and Giraffe feeding, pictures with Santa and the zoo’s baby animals, and more, it’s an experience you won’t forget. Admission is $7.00 and proceeds raised go toward helping care for the zoo animals throughout the year.

Mistletoe Sip and Shop in Downtown Mooresville

Bring your favorite people and enjoy kicking off the holiday season in the heart of Mooresville. The unique shops and businesses downtown will be offering open houses, store specials, sumptuous sips, yummy appetizers, gifts, treats & more!  There will also be a life-sized snow globe for some fun holiday photos, a strolling barbershop quartet, and carolers.

A Classic Christmas in Mooresville

December 13th & 20th; 6pm – 8pm (ice skating 5-9pm)

This annual Friday night holiday celebration includes Santa visits, a Christmas tree lane, wagon rides, life-sized snow globe, ice skating and more!  Activities take place on Broad & Main Streets from 6-8pm; ice skating 5-9pm.  Loading for wagon rides takes place at the Christian Mission on Broad Street.

Lighted Boat Parades

December 7th; 6pm – 7pm
LNYC Christmas Flotilla & Parade

Take in this spectacle of floating lights as the Lake Norman Yacht Club members and others deck their boats out for a holiday parade! The best place to watch is at Hello Sailor restaurant in Cornelius, where the boats will pass by around 6:30. The event benefits Toys for Tots, so if you would like to support their efforts, bring a new, unwrapped toy.

December 7th; 5pm – 9pm
The Northern Lights of Lake Norman Boat Parade

The 2019 Christmas Lighted Boat Parade takes place north of the Hwy 150 bridge. You can view from the Apps & Taps waterfront restaurant, where the boats will leave at 5:30pm, or head to the Stumpy Creek Boat Ramp to see the boats parade past. Boats will arrive back at Apps & Taps around 6:30, where you can enjoy music by The Mojo Band and Chinese Raffle. Proceeds from the evening will benefit Children’s Hope Alliance in Troutman.

The Nutcracker Suite

The Academy of Dance and Fine Arts

Nothing says Christmas like a performance of The Nutcracker Suite. The Academy of Dance and Fine Arts of Mooresville performs this iconic ballet about a nutcracker who comes to life on Christmas Eve. Grab tickets for one of the performances to put you in the true holiday spirit!
