Miracle on Main
November 18 – December 31

We can’t think of a better way to kick off the holiday season than with a pop-up bar dedicated to all things “A Christmas Story”. Ralphie would be so proud to stroll into this kitschy Christmas wonderland, complete with specialty hand-crafted cocktails and a healthy dose of nostalgia. Miracle on Main will be open nightly through New Year’s Eve.

Zootastic Park’s Christmas Wonderland of Lights
November 19 – January 2

Experience the wonderland of over 4 million Christmas lights as you wind through a safari of animals. Take a photo with Santa and a baby kangaroo, roast marshmallows, make a s’more, or grab a cup of hot cocoa! The kids can take a ride on the train or carousel and there are also pony rides. Kiss a giraffe, feed a tiger, or love on some barnyard animals. Whatever you chose to do, your night will be filled with magic and Christmas joy!

Langtree at the Lake Annual Tree Lighting
November 20, 5:30pm – 9pm

Kick off the Christmas season with the Annual Tree Lighting at Langtree. Countdown to the tree lighting at 7:15pm, visit the North Pole Post Office to drop your letters to Santa, or tell him your wishlist in person. There will be food and dessert vendors, plenty of good libations, and train rides for the kids. Proceeds from the event benefit Ace & TJ’s Grin Kids!

Holiday Light Spectacular
November 22 – December 31

A loved annual event, this free light spectacular is more than 175,000 lights set to music on the lawn at Town Hall. A tree lighting kicks off the event on November 22, which runs nightly throughout the holiday season beginning at 5:30pm.

Mooresville Christmas Parade
Tuesday November 23, 3:00pm

This will be the 77th year for the Mooresville Christmas Parade, and it will be bigger and better than ever! The parade travels south down Main Street, beginning at Statesville Avenue and ending just past Wilson Avenue near Merino’s Mill. The parade can be viewed from any point in between. Bring your chairs and blankets! A crowd of 5,000-7,000 is expected so definitely head over early to beat the crowds.

Chickadee Farms Festival of Trees
November 26 – December 4

Stroll through the barn at the beautiful Chickadee Farms, where 60 fully decorated trees are on display. Enter a raffle to win one of the trees, including the $1,000 money tree! Take a train ride, meet Santa, grab some grub at a food truck, and enjoy carnival games, s’mores around the firepit, drinks at the silo bar, and meet some adorable mini horses. Santa & Mrs. Claus visit Main St. Antiques
November 27, 1pm – 3pm

Make your list for Santa and head to Main St. Antiques & Design to hand it off! He and Mrs. Claus will pay a visit to the antique mall from 1pm – 3pm. While you’re there, check out the abundance of holiday gifts and decor from the more than 500 vendors.

Pancakes with Santa

Bring the kiddos out for a special pancake breakfast with Santa! Get photos with Santa, decorate pancakes, and create your own hot chocolate from the top-your-own cocoa bar. Stroll the streets of downtown in a nostalgic holiday celebration. Includes Santa Visits, a Life Size Snow Globe, Musical and Drama Performances, Ringing of the Bells, Smores Station, Unique Shopping & Dining, Hot Cocoa, Popcorn, Craft Vendors, Light Show on Broad. Lighted Boat Parades

December 4th; 6pm – 7pm
LNYC Christmas Flotilla & Parade

Take in this spectacle of floating lights as the Lake Norman Yacht Club members and others deck their boats out for a holiday parade! The best place to watch is at Hello Sailor restaurant in Cornelius, where the boats will pass by around 6:30. The event benefits Toys for Tots, so if you would like to support their efforts, bring a new, unwrapped toy.

The Northern Lights of Lake Norman Boat Parade

If you want to watch a lighted flotilla without leaving the comfort of your home, the Northern Lights of Lake Norman Lighted Boat Parade will be broadcast live on Facebook! Follow this link to watch.

December 18th; 5:30pm – 7pm
LKN Lighted Christmas Boat Parade

This lighted parade will start at Blythe Landing for kickoff, then to Ramsey Creek Park and then onto to the Duke Energy Explorium. The parade will start around sunset and finish at approximately 7pm. The parks will be open until 30 minutes AFTER the parade has passed each location.

Pop-Ups and Shopping Events

Over 30 vendors will be at JR Motorsports to help with your holiday shopping! Clothing, jewelry, food, candles, books, home decor, bags, kitchen tools, tumblers and so much more!
