Carowinds is a 400-acre amusement park, located adjacent to Interstate 77 on the border between North and South Carolina, in Charlotte and Fort Mill.  12-acre children’s area, 14 world-class rollercoasters, live shows, funnel cakes, water park.

Several health and safety procedures will be in check, including advanced visit planning, required face coverings, health screenings and more. Season passholders who purchased their passes prior to Aug. 4 will be offered reward perks.

Charlotte Motor Speedway, zMAX Dragway and The Dirt Track at Charlotte host international NASCAR, NHRA and World of Outlaw events; gigantic AutoFairs, grassroots Legend Car and street legal drag racing, monster trucks and one of the world’s largest drive-through holiday light shows, Carolina Christmas. The Carolina Raptor Center is home to 30 different species of raptors for you to see and learn about along our 3/4 mile outdoor nature trail, set up similar to a zoo. Experience educational exhibits like Family Corvidae and Raptors of the Silver Screen, and enjoy special programs like the Summer Flight Shows.  The Raptor Center is a non-profit organization whose operations support the rehabilitation and release of over 1,000 raptors each year, as well as the education of about 80,000 children and visitors in the Charlotte region.

The Carolina Raptor Center is located right outside of Quest, a brand new nature experience in Latta Nature Preserve. The 13,000 square foot facility is the starting point for your outdoor adventure at Latta Nature Preserve. Meet our host GAR and enjoy the NOTHING SURVIVES WITHOUT WATER exhibit hall. Attend a program or grab a trail map. The gift shop offers everything from drinks and snacks to nature themed gifts and crafts. Borrow a fishing rod –  we can even supply the bait (on sale in the gift shop). Bring your own picnic, sit on the patio, and immerse yourself in nature.
