Carolina Raptor Center at Quest

The Carolina Raptor Center is home to 30 different species of raptors for you to see and learn about along our 3/4 mile outdoor nature trail, set up similar to a zoo. Experience educational exhibits like Family Corvidae and Raptors of the Silver Screen, and enjoy special programs like the Summer Flight Shows.  The Raptor Center is a non-profit organization whose operations support the rehabilitation and release of over 1,000 raptors each year, as well as the education of about 80,000 children and visitors in the Charlotte region.

The Carolina Raptor Center is located right outside of Quest, a brand new nature experience in Latta Nature Preserve. The 13,000 square foot facility is the starting point for your outdoor adventure at Latta Nature Preserve. Meet our host GAR and enjoy the NOTHING SURVIVES WITHOUT WATER exhibit hall. Attend a program or grab a trail map. The gift shop offers everything from drinks and snacks to nature themed gifts and crafts. Borrow a fishing rod –  we can even supply the bait (on sale in the gift shop). Bring your own picnic, sit on the patio, and immerse yourself in nature.
